Ultrasonic Model

The functionality of the Vornado Ultrasonic Humidifier model is just fine but I am through with the cleaning process. The cleaning and maintenance is very tedious and the manuals specify that for better performance it need to be cleaned and maintained at least once a week. Since the cleaning process is very tiresome at times I hesitate to use it. The unit is capable of circulating improved air but the maintenance factor is what is scoring it negative marks.


I have tried one or two times to clean it but had really tough time to replace the filters and had to scrub for long hours to get rid of the dirt. Unlike usual humidifiers this humidifier doesn’t dampen the floor while operating as the humid air flows in an upward direction to provide precisely the level of humidity set by the user.
The unit is also leak proof and hence water does not spill from it. It is pretty expensive than other models of humidifiers but still cleaning the unit and maintenance is quite high. Now I rarely use the unit since I find it very difficult to clean and use it again.

The only advantage I find with this model is that it is evaporative and hence do not create much moisture. The settings are quite easy to understand and it has got a digital display that shows accurate readings of humidity but the difficult to clean factor is making it worthless. It functions quitter than other models but not a recommendable brand due to its tedious cleaning process.
