Relion Humidifiers

Relion Humidifiers are health care brands from Wal-Mart. Air is circulated through wet filters, which trap unwanted particles like dirt, dust and other allergens. Moist air is then circulated into the rooms. This increases the humidity level in the room to the desired 40% to 60% and prevents asthma, itchy skin, sore throats and other respiratory problems.

The three main types of humidifiers manufactured and marketed by Relion are:

Cool Mist Humidifiers

These blow moist air into the room in the form of light mist. The air passes through a wet filter, trapping impurities and is then blown into the room. The humidifier is easy to clean and fill. The filter of these cool mist humidifiers needs to be regularly cleaned and usually needs to be replaced about twice in a season. It has an output of 1.25 gallons a day and comes with two moisture settings. These cool mist humidifiers are excellent for medium and large sized rooms. Its removable water tank is designed in such a way so as to be easy to clean, carry and refill. It comes with a variable mist control. The two models available are:

RCM – 832 – It uses the KAZ WF - 813 or the Protec #3 filter.

WA – 8D – It uses the KAZ WF - 2 or the Protec #2 filter.

Warm Moist Humidifiers

These blow invisible moisture laden warm air into the room. Water is passed through the power unit and gets heated after which the warm moisture system is blown into the room. These boast an output of 3 gallons per day and are ideal for medium and large rooms. These warm mist humidifiers have two moisture settings and come with a medicine cup which can be used to dispense medicine into the room. This option makes it ideal for people suffering from respiratory diseases and skin allergies and require medicine to be dispenses in the room at regular intervals. Its removable water tank is designed in such a way so as to be easy to clean, carry and refill. Last but not the least is the Auto shut off option which ensures that the humidifier is shut off as soon as the desired humidity level is achieved, thereby saving on valuable power.

Ultrasonic Humidifiers

These give a variable mist control and supply up to 20 hours of soothing cool mist. They allow you to breathe easier and sleep better. These ultrasonic humidifiers have now been discontinued though replacement filters are still available at Wal-Mart. It model H - 0595 / HO – 06950 use the filter KAZ DC – 51.
