The humidistat is used to control the setting of the humidifier. For a temperature of 20 degree Fahrenheit the relative humidity should be set at 35% but if the temperature drops to 0 degree Fahrenheit the relative humidity should be lowered to 25%. Similarly the recommended relative humidity for a temperature of 40 degree Fahrenheit is 45%.
