Bionaire BCM646 Cool Mist Tower Humidifier

I am planning to replace my Bionaire BCM646 cool mist tower humidifier since they are very noisy; it is very difficult to sleep when the unit is working. I am not sure whether something went wrong with my humidifier as they have been loud while functioning from the first day of its use. I got inspired to purchase the unit due to it sleek and attractive design but must admit that it is a worthless unit and even if the product features mention that the unit functions quietly, I have never had the fortune to experience at least one day of noise free functioning of the unit.

The humidifiers filter gets clogged very fast and need to be replaced very frequently. I had to incur a lot of maintenance charges on this unit as it has created only problems and never had worked efficiently. I have also experienced leakage of water from the humidifier’s tank and once had a day’s work cleaning up the mess, since I had placed it on top of my desk the drawers and papers got drenched and had to dry them out, I hate to remember the mess that was created when the humidifier leaked that day. Now I always place it on top of a tray so that even if the unit leaks it wouldn’t mess the whole place. I’ll soon replace it since I am fed up with the unit.

I would like to purchase a better unit soon and this time I would never go for looks. I am going to do a thorough research reading reviews before choosing another model. So overall my humidifier review is not very good for this model.
