Aprilaire Model 350 360 Whole House Humidifier Review

These models use a built-in fan in the humidifier assembly. The units also include with them a manual humidistat and a saddle valve. Both units easily fit with electric baseboard heat and with hydronic heat. The units are also ideal for homes requiring specific humidity and having forced air heating system. The 350 model can be hung from floor joists in the basement. The ductwork of the same could be connected to a floor vent at a central location in the home.

With the 360 unit, it is a through-the-wall unit which can be placed at a central location in a closet. The units work with hot water to facilitate in the humidification process. The output capacity of each is 12 gallons of water per day. The units require a drain to allow water disposal. Because of the flow-thru technology, the units face no problems of calcium or lime scale formation. The porous material covered on the aluminum mesh is easy to change and prevents slime growth. It is recommended to change the mesh once every year. Since the units use continuous water flow, it leads to an increase in the water usage. With the manual controller the indoor levels of humidity need to be adjusted according to the outside temperature. Overall, the Aprilaire Model 350/360 Whole House Humidifier is a manually operated model which provides equal-benefits as other Aprilaire units.
